Our Materials
The materials speak for themselves.
We weave willow, rattan, bamboo and straw. These plants absorb carbon as they grow, most work is done by hand with low-power tools, the finished goods can biodegrade, and we keep plastic out of packaging where we can.
Renewable by nature
Willow, rattan, bamboo and straw regrow every year, so sourcing does not depend on scarce materials.
Biodegradable
Pieces without heavy lacquer or plastic liners break down naturally at end of use.
Lean packaging
We use cartons, moisture-proof paper, cloth bags and fiber padding, choosing paper and plant fiber over plastic.
Low-energy workshop
Weaving relies on hands and low-power equipment; offcuts are reused for small pieces or fuel.
